PURPOSE OF COURSE:
This 1-day course is designed to provide officers with the knowledge and skills to navigate the dangers of a high-risk traffic stop. This will be accomplished through a combination of lecture, demonstrations, live fire drills and force on force scenarios. Topics covered will be traffic stops, felony stops, vehicle assaults and counter-ambush tactics.
EQUIPMENT NEEDED:
- Clothes suitable for training in any weather conditions
- Eye and Ear Protection
- Rifle with sling and minimum 3 mags
- Pistol with holster and 3 mags
- Duty belt
- 50 rounds minimum of rifle ammunition (Optional)
- 100 rounds minimum of pistol ammunition
