Now Hiring: Mobile Training Unit Director – West Central Illinois Mobile Law Enforcement Training Unit (MTU) #9.

The West Central Illinois Mobile Law Enforcement Training Unit (MTU) #9 is seeking a full-time Training Director to lead and coordinate high-quality law enforcement training throughout the region. This position coordinates all in-service training for law enforcement, corrections, and court security personnel across an eleven-county area.

Position Overview: The Advisory Board of Mobile Training Unit #9 is seeking an experienced and motivated professional to serve as the Mobile Training Unit (MTU) Director. This position is responsible for the overall administration, coordination and delivery of law enforcement training programs within the MTU region in accordance with the standards and within the budget set forth by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board (ILETSB).

The Director oversees training operations, facilitates curriculum certification, manages budgets, coordinates with law enforcement agencies, and ensures high-quality training opportunities for all member departments.

Position Title: Mobile Training Unit (MTU) Director – MTU 9

Location Covered: Adams, Brown, Calhoun, Cass, Greene, Jersey, Macoupin, Morgan, Pike, Schuyler and Scott counties.                       
 

Employment Type: Full-Time / Exempt      

Salary Range: $73,342 - $92,867 (Commensurate with the candidate’s education, training and experience.)

The following skills and/or experience is preferred: 

• Five years of management-supervisory experience
• State of Illinois budgetary experience
• Experience in the law enforcement profession and/or law enforcement training
• A combination of relevant training and experience that would make one qualified for the position
• Must be able to pass a background investigation
