Crime Scene Investigation plays a vital role in any case forwarded for adjudication.  Success hinges on proper scene processing with regards to documentation and recovery of critical evidence.  This 16-hour course lays the foundation for officers and new investigators who want to gain or enhance crime scene processing skills.  Course begins with initial response and scene assessments.  Processing model and scene dynamics discussion follows, leading to basic photography, locating, recovery, and alternative sources for latent fingerprints will be covered.  Information will be shared on crime scene interpretation, investigative techniques, as well as case studies and investigations conducted by the course instructors.
