This 4-hour offsite option has been designed by the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center to provide students with an understanding of the importance of democracy and law enforcement and identifying abuses of power and recognizing hate crimes.

Historical case studies and contemporary scenarios which will extend participants’ thinking and provide the opportunity to explore and discuss more in-depth connected themes of moral and ethical decision making; social responsibility; stereotyping and discrimination; and the abuse of authority.

The LEAD training will motivate and engage participants to identify, empathize and connect with individuals, the human beings, they are committed to protecting – valuing all lives and recognizing the rights of all peoples.
