PURPOSE DESCRIPTION:
This Course will provide students with the knowledge and skills to effectively respond to active shooter incidents, address threats, and save lives by sing tactical skills, techniques, and procedures. Numerous drills will be conducted to increase the students’ tactics and skill levels. Classroom instruction will be provided covering topics included, but not limited to, Administrative Rules and Requirements, Safety Rules, Use of Force, and De-escalation Techniques.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
- Duty belt with no live weapons or ammunition
- Simunition weapon and ammunition (if available)
- Eye and hearing protection
- Active threat response kit/vest (is available)
