STUDENTS MUST BRING LAPTOP________________________________________COURSE DESCRIPTIONThis course will provide instruction on the law enforcement response to sexual assault, with a focus on victim centered and trauma informed investigation. It will cover areas including proper initial law enforcement response; trauma and effects on the brain; victim advocacy; sexual assault myths and effects on the victim; victim and suspect interviewing; Illinois statutes; necessary tools for report writing, interviews, and evidence collection
