Meets IL Mandates: Legal Updates (1 hr.), Procedural Justice (1 hr.), De-escalation Techniques (.50 hrs.), Law Concerning Stops, searches, and use of force (1 hr.), Officer safety techniques, including cover, concealment, and time (8 hrs./7 hrs. scenario-based training)First day of this training will be held at Jersey County Sheriff�s Office � 114 N. Washington, Jerseyville, IL, the second day of this training will be held Otter Creek Hunting Club � 19201 Hunting Club Road, Jerseyville, IL.COURSE DESCRIPTIONThis course will familiarize students with patrol rifle nomenclature, patrol rifle marksmanship, and patrol rifle maintenance. Numerous courses of live fire will be conducted to increase the students weapons handling abilities and marksmanship. Classroom instruction will be provided covering topics included but not limited to Administrative Rules and Requirements, Safety Rules, Use of Force, and De-escalation Techniques. STUDENTS MUST BRING THE FOLLOWING:� Department approved rifle with sling and two magazines.� Department approved handgun with two magazines.� Eye and hearing protection� 300 rounds of quality rifle ammunition� 50 rounds of quality pistol ammunition� Weapons cleaning kitMAXIMUM 10 STUDENTS
