Use of LE Authority (30 mins); Use of Force: De-escalations Techniques (30 mins/30 mins. scenario-based training); Use of Force: High Risk Traffic Stops (6.00 hrs./4.50 hrs. scenario-based training); Use of Force: Laws concerning stops, searches, and use of force (30 mins.), Use of Force: Officer Safety Techniques (30 mins.)
Students will be provided with a Power Point presentation explaining the new High-Risk Vehicle Stops techniques. Following the classroom lecture portion of instruction there will be practical application scenarios as well.
**Students are encouraged to bring note-taking materials and their duty belts.
