IL Mandates Pending: Civil Rights (3 hrs); Constitutional & Proper Use of LE Authority (2 hrs); Cultural Competency (2 hrs.); Legal Updates (5 hrs); Procedural Justice (4 hrs)ABOUT THE COURSE:This is a two-day comprehensive course (8 hours each) on how to navigate the new U.S. Supreme Court, lower courts, EEOC, and FCC new social media speech and policy laws.The first day focuses on expert �Red Flag Strategies� to mitigate risk of posting illegal or harmful social media content on/off duty via personal or work issued devices.The second day of this course, attendees will learn how the new U.S. Supreme Court and lower courts� social media decision impact the intent and execution of your social media policy. You learn why it�s essential that you reframe your social media policy as a �high risk� broadcasting agreement with your employees and other third parties.Non-Member Tuition: $300.00 Non-member tuition shall apply to State/Federal agencies and Local Law Enforcement agencies which are not members of MTU #9. Tuition will be invoiced to departments upon course completion. If a pre-registered student from Non-Member agency fails to attend training, and the agency fails to provide advance notice within 7 days of the start date of class, the agency will be invoiced the entire amount of the student�s tuition.
