Exchange Street, Jerseyville, IL TRAINING PORTION – afternoonStrategic BJJ – Carrollton Studio306 5th Street, North SuiteCarrollton, IL .COURSE DESCRIPTION:This course is designed to instruct the students with defensive tactics techniques when dealing with multiple levels of resistance using Gracie Survival Tactics format. This program is designed to cover aspects of defensive tactics in a manner that has been created by Gracie University. These techniques have been developed through documented medical, legal, and tactical research. This course will focus on controlling resisting and combative subjects utilizing proven control techniques.Student Performance Objectives:At the end of this unit, the trainee will be able to:1. To examine survival learning research in an effort to enhance survivability in combat situations.2. To learn ways to bring subjects safely to the ground.3. To become proficient in controlling the subject from multiple positions on the ground.4. To be able to handcuff subjects from a position of control5. To explain and demonstrate effective methods of weapon retention.STUDENT MATERIAL:• Copy of Agency-Use of Force Policy• Athletic attireo Compression-style shirts or rash guards.o Tee shirts are acceptable but risk being torn.o Appropriate length shorts or pants are acceptable.o No shoe will be permitted during training.o Socks can be worn.o Fingernails and toenails shall be trimmed the day before training.o Female officers should have their hair pulled back.
